Therapy : Massage Therapy Practice Building Made Easy

You decided to become a massage therapist because you have a genuine passion for helping others. You have a vision for offering a powerful service to the world. But you probably were not ready for the reality of owning your own business. You were hoping that your passion would enable you to magnetize innumerable clients to you, only to discover in frustration that something is missing in your efforts to get and stay busy.
If this is the current trend of your massage practice, rest assured that your situation is far from unusual. In fact, most massage therapists feel this way. The average massage therapist makes less than $30,000 per year. Yes, you love what you do, but you would also like to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle doing it, right? With this kind of income, you will always struggle and wonder if you made the right choice. The good news is that you can indeed triple, even quadruple your income. The problem is that you have been approaching your practice as a healer, not as a marketer. The passion you feel for helping others will only be allowed its full expression if you learn how to effectively market what it is that you do.
Now, did you immediately feel a sense of aversion when I mentioned that dreaded word? Marketing. It conjures up images of the aggressive used car salesman or the multilevel person bombarding their friends and family to buy their products. Trust me, it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, marketing should be an enjoyable aspect of your practice. Why? Because it is simply a way to educate people about the benefits of what you offer. That's it. No hype. Just clearly conveying all of the wonderful things you can do to help others. The chances are that, if your practice is suffering, you have not fully leveraged your innate ability to authentically sell what you do.
Marketing your practice has two components, both of which are essential to your success. The first is the inner dimension of marketing, which means your emotional and psychological relationship with your practice. Can you visualize success right here and now? Can you feel it in your being? Do you emit an energy of abundance to the universe? Are you truly open to attracting wealth and success back to yourself based on the energy you are conveying most of the time? To actualize your dream practice, it is imperative that you give yourself the permission to feel it within you already. Use your imagination to make this as real and as powerful as you can internally, even if the outer world doesn't quite match up yet. It will sooner than later if you use your mind as an ally.
The second component is effective action. As a massage therapist, you have to find creative ways to get your name out there and share with others the passion you have for what you do and all of those benefits you can provide. Your marketing ventures should be a natural extension of your personality, values, etc. There is a way you can do this, even if you are shy or introverted. When your marketing strategies and your inner vision are aligned, you will become unstoppable. You will be booked out weeks in advance and seeing all the clients you can handle. You really can do this, no matter where you live or how well other therapists are doing.
The key is to align your inner and outer reality toward success. Cultivate a prosperity mindset and embark upon marketing your practice in ways that excite you. Make marketing fun. This is what I have done to build a thriving acupuncture practice. The same principles apply for massage therapists. This is the quick path to your practice success.
